CHEERLEADERS

Every game night was a trying one for the cheerleaders. Their responsibility was to build up the pep and enthusiasm of the student body. success or failure was often determined by the cooperation given by the students. Through hours of practice, which many people did not realize, the Varsity cheerleaders were able to provide us with the leadership of shcool spirit.

 

Pep Club Encouraged
School Spirit

The Pep Club endeavored to arouse more school spirit by hanging signs in the halls and by attending the games. A community service provided by the Pep Club was the checking of coats during the basketball games. Four teams were organized from the 106 members which comprised the club. The teams received points for decorating before games and for performing skits at pep asssemblies. The Pep Club chose new uniforms which were red skirts and weskets and red tennis shoes. By wearing their unniforms, members were admitted to the home games for half price.
