~ MUSIC ~
O.H.S. BAND
The O.H.S. Band under the
direction of R. G. Renoe, performed its usual services to
the school with the marching band's performing half-time
programs at football games, the pep band's and dance band's
playing at basketball games, and the dance band's playing at
other school functions. The band attended the Mid-America
Fair and participated in the Music Festival at Kansas
University. Newly organized during the year was the brass
choir consisting of not only brass but also percussion
instruments. This year's band officers were President,
Geribeth Lhuillier; Vice-President, Lougene Shelden; and
Secretary-Treasurer, Lance Reppert.

GLEE CLUBS ARE
REORGANIZED
A boys Glee Clulb was
organized this year. They traveled to Lawrence with the
Girls Glee Club and the Mixed Ensemble to compete in the
District Music Festival held April 5 and 6.
There were
twenty-seven students in the Boys Glee Club. At the Music
Festival they same the "Streets of Laredo".
The Girls Glee Club
having been organized for the first time since 1956,
presented "Lullaby" by Scott and "Nocturne" by
Mastroleo.
"O Loney Clouds" by
Mozart and "O Vos Omnes" by da Vittoria were the musical
selections of the Mixed Ensemble. Several solos were also
sung.
