~ Kayettes ~

The Kayette Board is composed of girls selected by the retiring president, the new officers, and the sponsors. On these girls' shoulders rests the responsibility of the entire club's activities. The Board decides on the projects which will be most beneficial to the club, school, and community.

The Kayette Board consists of a president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, world service chairman, school service chairman, community service chairman, parliamentarian, song leader, pianist, point system chairman, program chairman publicity chairman and recreation director.

The main objective of the "Green" team is recreation. This team is under the leadership of Mary Jo Asmus. This team presents one program a year for Kayettes on recreation. Recreation is essential in any club and the "green" team provides it for Kayettes.

The purpose of the "Red" team is to promote good personality among Kayettes. A good personality is important to everyone, and that's why the Kayette organization stresses it. The leader of this team if Mary Ann Akers.

Service to the school, community, and world is an important factor to Kayettes. This is portrayed by the "Blue" team under the leadership of Mary Cragg. Their many projects include keeping the school grounds free of trash, making posters, giving food and clothing to a needy family, and contributing to "Meals for Millions".

Religion in Kayettes is the responsibility of the "White" team. This team has presented such things as an interpretation of the Ten Commandments and pre-Easter services for O.H.S. students. The team's captain is Lela Birchard.

Appreciation for fellow students, our school, community, all religions, and all races is the goal set up for the "Yellow" team. In Kayettes, yellow stands for appreciation. The team, captained by Brenda Atwood, helps the Kayettes clean up our school and school grounds.

"Follow-the-Leader" might well be the motto of the Purple" Team, for purple stands for leadership in Kayettes. Janet Brown, Captain, is demonstrating the leadership qualities which Kayettes strive to bring out in each girl.
