Jimmie Laymond Lynn, age 58, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away, Saturday, March 3, 2007 at the Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born on June 5, 1948, the son of Marion Lewis and Thelma Jewel Lynn.

He grew up in Osawatomie, Kansas and was married to Linda Green on October 27, 1967. Following their marriage, they made their home in Osawatomie, Kansas, until 1976 and Belton, Missouri, until 1997, before moving to Warsaw.

Jimmie began employment with Hallmark Cards, Inc, on June 8, 1966, where he served nearly 41 years.

Jimmie was an avid golfer and a member of the Shawnee Bend Golf Course, in Warsaw. On his 57th birthday, Jimmie recorded the only hole-in-one at Shawnee Bend, on the most difficult hole on the course, the par 4, hole #6. He also enjoyed Country Dancing at the Cactus Moon, in Independence, Missouri and the Dam Restaurant, in Warsaw.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion Lewis and Thelma Jewel Lynn and his grandparents.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Lynn, one daughter, Tammy Melvold, of Raymore, Missouri, one son, Robert Lynn, of Belton, Missouri, two grandchildren, Blake Owens, of Raymore, Missouri and Shelbi Lynn, of Belton, Missouri. Also surviving are two sisters, Frances Herbert, of Blue Springs, Missouri and Linda Spencer, of Olathe, Kansas, a father and mother-in-law, Leon and Doris Green, of Warsaw, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Memorial Services for Jimmie L. Lynn, will be held Friday morning, March 9, 2007, at 11:00 a.m., at the Reser Funeral Home, in Warsaw, with Rev. Sam Hinkle and Bill Roberts, officiating.
