CLASS OF 1965 DECEMBER 7, 1947 - DECEMBER 8, 1998 Memorial services for Larry Gene Keast, Parker, were held Saturday in Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home. Mr. Keast, 51,died Tuesday Dec. 8, 1998 in Olathe Medical Center. He was born Dec. 7, 1947 in Osawatomie, the son of Earl Kenneth and Emma Olive Weippert Keast. He grew up in Osawatomie and was a 1965 graduate of Osawatomie High School. He and Connie Ruth Watson were married in 1967. They made their home in Osawatomie and became the parents of two children. Their marriage ended in divorce in 1973. Mr. Keast was a mechanic and welder at E. K. Campbell Co. in Osawatomie and had also owned his own business, Triple K Garage. He and Kathy Ann Shively Prothe had made their home together for 20 years. Among those preceding him in death were a sister, Linnie Mae Johnson, and a brother, Carl Keast. Survivors include his wife, Kathy, of the home; his son, Kenneth Eugene Keast, Kansas City, Mo.; his daughter, Christa Lea Haas, Olathe; his stepson, Ronald Lee Prothe, Marysville; his stepdaughter, Rachelle Lynn Newport, Fontana; a brother, Earl Keast, Osawatomie; a granddaughter; and six stepgrandchildren. The Rev. Wayne Ova officated. Burial of the cremains was in Osawatomie Cemetery. |
