CLASS OF 1964 MAY 4, 1946 - JUNE 18, 2008 Carmen (Tick) Martin, 62, Shawnee, Kan., passed away June 18, 2008, at KU Medical Center after a battle with cancer. Tick was born in Wichita, Kan., May 4, 1946. Waiting for him in heaven is his wife, Kathleen Gore, and his parents, Ernest and Freda Martin. Left behind on this earth is his brother-in-law, Mike Wade, Gravois Mills, Mo., and other family members and friends who will miss him greatly. Also left behind in the loving care of his friends are Tick's faithful companions, Lucy and little Jenny. Tick loved life, his friends, and NASCAR. Tick served in the Army from 1965 to 1971. A graveside service will be held on June 23rd at 5 p.m. at Pleasant View Cemetery, Shawnee Kan., on Quivera Road just north of Shawnee Mission Parkway. Food and fun memories immediately following at the Clarette Club, 5400 Martway, Mission, Kan.
