CLASS OF 1962 OCTOBER 18, 1944 - NOVEMBER 15, 1995 Services for Stephen Robert Burgoon, 507 Leroy, Osawatomie, were held Monday in Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home. Mr. Burgoon, 51, died unexpectedly Wednesday, November 15, 1995 in his home. He was born October 18, 1944 in Kansas City, MO., the son of Clarence Robert and Mary Marie Hamlin Burgoon. He attended school in Osawatomie and was a 1962 graduate of Osawatomie High School. He attended Pittsburg State University, University of Kansas, University of Missouri in Kansas City, Emporia State University and Ottawa University. He earned a bachelor's degree from ESU in 1969. He was a dispatcher for Riss International of Kansas City, KS for 14 years from 1971 until 1985. Since 1985, he has been a salesman with a computer company, Ace North Hills. He and Jane Johns were married August 19, 1966 in Osawatomie. They became the parents of two children. Mrs. Burgoon died Nov. 26, 1971 of injuries suffered in a vehicular accident Nov. 11, 1971. He and Kenna Arzberger were married Aug. 20, 1982 in Olathe and they made their home in Osawatomie. They became the parents of two children. Among those preceding him in death, in addition to his first wife, was a grandchild. Survivors include his wife, Kenna, of the home; his father of Osawatomie; two sons, Sean Burgoon and Sevy Burgoon, Osawatomie; two daughters, Jacinda Hudson and Brandie Burgoon, Osawatomie; and two grandchildren. The Rev. Leslie Murphy officiated. Pallbearers were Sevy Burgoon, Sean Burgoon, Buck Hudson, Jim Magers, Gary Moor, Al Mowery, Tom Crozier, Jimmy Russell and Art Pine. Burial was in Osawatomie Cemetery. |
