Wayne E. Sharp, Spring Hill, died Tuesday, May 5, 1998 in his home after an illness of two years with cancer. He was 54.

Mr. Sharp was born June 19, 1943 in Fontana, the son of Robert Lee and Lottie Pauline Henness Sharp.

He graduated from Osawatomie High School in 1961. In 1961 he married Connie Farris. They had two sons. The marriage ended in divorce. He married Janet Helen Wolfe in 1983 in Miami, Okla. They had one son.

Mr. Sharp was employed by Russell Stover's from 1971 to 1980. He then worked for Yellow Freight Lines from 1980 to 1994.

Survivors include his wife, Janet, of the home; three sons, Thomas Eugene Sharp, Olathe, Michael Wayne Sharp, Gardner, and Brian Wayne Sharp, of the home; his parents of Osawatomie; five brothers, Robert L. Sharp, Sarasota, Fla., Donald Ray Sharp of Texas, Mark Thomas Sharp and Allen G. Sharp, both of Osawatomie, and Eric Sharp, Chillicothe, Mo.; two sisters, Susan Lydia Hiles, Overland Park, and Lisa Marie Presley, Spring Hill; and two grandchildren.

He was cremated.

A memorial has been established in his name with Olathe Hospice.
