Henry T. Gibson, 68, Paola, died May 29, 2011, at the Life Care Center in Osawatomie.

Henry was born Nov. 20, 1942, in Ashland, Miss., to Joe Thomas and Julia Wilhoite Gibson. He moved to the area as a child and graduated from Osawatomie High School in 1961.

He worked for more than 25 years at the Marley Manufacturing Plant in Olathe before health problems caused him to retire. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, enjoyed working on cars, repairing and selling them, and attending car auctions and traveling.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jo Gibson.

Survivors include his daughter Sherry Gibson and son Terry Gibson, both of Paola; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and one step-brother, Louis Gibson of California. Henry will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Graveside services were Saturday, June 4th at the Hillsdale Cemetery.
