Gary W. Criss, age 65, Louisburg, Kansas, died Saturday, November 8, 2008 in his home. Visitation will be held 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Wednesday November 12, 2008 at Penwell - Gabel Louisburg Chapel with graveside services following at 11:00 a.m. at the Louisburg Cemetery, Louisburg, KS.

Gary was born on November 2, 1943 in Kansas City, MO, the son of Wayne and Dorothy (Wilson) Criss.

Gary worked for Criss Market and then for Crown Realty until his stroke in 1997. He served several years on the Louisburg City Counsel. He enjoyed playing cards, going to the horse tracks, and watching NASCAR races. Gary was a graduate of Osawatomie High School, class of 1961.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Samantha and his brother Ricky Criss.

Survivors include his son and daughter in law Vernon and Jean Criss of the home, one brother Dale Criss of Harrisonville, MO, one sister Terry Crawford of Paola, KS and his former wife Bonnie Criss of Overland Park, KS and several nieces and nephews.

The family suggests contributions to Sunflower Health Care/Hospice Inc.
