LARRY EARL DAVIS

CLASS OF 1960

JULY 22, 1942 - DECEMBER 8, 1991

Larry Earl Davis, 49, Route 2, Osawatomie,  a farmer and rancher, died Sunday, December 8, 1991, at Saint Joseph Health Center in Kansas City, MO.

He was injured in a vehicle / train accident near La Cygne on Sept. 1.

He was born July 22, 1942, in Salina, KS., the son of R. Earl and Bessie Lee LaRoe Davis.  The family moved to Osawatomie in 1945, and he attended the schools there.  He graduated from the Osawatomie High School with the Class of 1960. 

Mr. Davis worked in the Kansas City Stockyards for a number of years in the late 1960's and early 1970's.

He is survived by his two sons, Daniel Dean Davis of San Marcos, TX and Gilbert Larry Davis of Osawatomie; a daughter, Crystal Gayle Davis of the home; his father, Roland Earl Davis and his mother, Bessie Barnes , both of Osawatomie; and a sister Jeannette Morse of Carbondale, KS.

Services were held at 1:30 PM Thursday in the Eddy-Birchard Funeral in Osawatomie, with the Rev. Ted Hunter officiating.

Burial was in the Osawatomie Cemetery.  Pallbearers were: Gary Clearwater, Fred Clearwater, Don Ghere, Wayne Swider, Robert Kitchen and Randy Kitchen.
