Beverly Arlene Winters Smith, 80, of Topeka, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Midland Hospice.

She was born in Osawatomie, Kansas on September 10, 1931 to James and Mabel Winters and graduated from Osawatomie High School with the Class of 1949.

She married Raymond Smith in Osawatomie on October 4, 1957 and gave birth to their only child, Kent, on December 30, 1958.

She was preceded in death by her parents James and Mabel (Fulkerson) Winters, brothers Harry, Clarence, Lantson and Lyle Winters, and sisters, Laura (Winters) Mullins, and June (Winters) Swarner.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond Smith, her sisters, Bonita (Dean) Carls, and Rosa (LeRoy) Butts, her son Kent (Susan) Smith, and her granddaughter Erica (Jonathan) Barthalow.

Beverly Arlene was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who leaves behind a legacy of faith and love. A memorial service will be held at First Assembly of God, 500 SW 27th St., Topeka, Kansas on January 10, 2012 at 10 AM.
