Ozark, MO. - - Services for Wayne E. Walter, Route 2, Ozark, were held June 18 in the Harris Chapel.

Mr. Walter, 50, was found dead June 16 of an apparently self- inflicted gunshot wound.

A native of Bradford, Pa., he attended schools in Osawatomie, Kan. and was a 1949 graduate of Osawatomie High School.

Mr. Walter had been a resident of Ozark since 1974. He had worked about 20 years as a territory representative for Getty Oil Co. in the refining and marketing division.

He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean conflict from 1951 to 1955. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Osawatomie.

Survivors include his wife, Josephine, of the home; one son, David Walter, Rockaway, N.J.; two daughters, Linda, of the home, and Nancy Rebori, Springfield; his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Wayne Walter, Ozark; two sisters, Barbara Scott, Rogers, Ark., and Norma Gallager, Tucson, Ariz.; and one grandson.

The Rev. Rodger Suthland officiated at the services. Burial was in the Springfield National Cemetery.
