Elizabeth Ann Lanning Kraly, 70, Gradstone, MO, an Osawatomie native, died April 17, 2002 in North Kansas City Hospital in North Kansas City, MO.

Known as "Betty", she was born September 19, 1931 in Osawatomie, a daughter of Paul Lester and Vera Goodrich Lanning. She attended Osawatomie schools and graduated in 1949 from Osawatomie High School. She earned a degree from Baker University in Baldwin City in 1954 and was a member of Alpha Chi Omega.

Mrs. Kraly was employed by Hartford Insurance in Kansas City for more than 20 years.

She was a member of North Cross United Methodist Church.

Those preceding her in death were her brothers, Paul Lanning, Jr. and Donald L. Lanning, and her sister, Helen Punshon.

Survivors include her husband, Edward John Kraly of the home; a son, David H. Manco; three daughters, Donna M. Manco, Tammie McGinnis and JoAnne Hawkins; and four grandchildren.

Services were in Mount Moriah Terrace park Chapel followed by burial in Osawatomie Cemetery.

Memorials were made to the American Cancer Society.
