CLAYTON "BUD" CONKLIN

Graveside services for Clayton "Bud" Conklin, Edmond, OK, were held Monday in Yukon Cemetery. Mr. Conklin, 65, died Saturday, Nov. 16, 1996 in Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City.

He was born April 12, 1931 in Osawatomie, KS the son of Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Conklin. He attended Osawatomie schools and was a 1949 graduate of Osawatomie High School. Mr. Conklin graduated from Texas Western University, El Paso, TX.

He and Beverly Magill were married May 25, 1950 in Osawatomie and they became the parents of two sons. Mr. Conklin was self-employed and owned the company BCI Inc.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Piedmont and Gideons International. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Among those preceding him in death was a sister, Dorathy Jean.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly, of the home; two sons, Ron Conklin, Oklahoma City, and Gary Conklin, Houston, TX; a sister, Doris June Held, Osawatomie; a stepbrother, J.G. Shelden. Osawatomie; a stepsister, Dorathy Hartford, Osawatomie; and a grandson.
