PAULINE WAGGONER SAWYER

DECEMBER 9, 1930 - JULY 17, 2015

Pauline Sawyer, 84, of Topeka passed away on Friday, July 17, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka.

She was born December 9, 1930 at Osawatomie, Kansas, the daughter of Elsanore and Andrew Jackson Waggoner.

Pauline was a supervising cook at several Topeka locations for the Kansas Department of Corrections. Mrs. Sawyer had a real passion for cooking and got a lot of enjoyment cooking for her family and friends.

he was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses Colly Creek Congregation.

She was married to Jay Gillenwater who preceded her in death in 1958. After Jay s passing, Pauline married Lyman Bus Sawyer in 1960, Bus passed away in 1999.

Survivors include: four sons, Jay Gillenwater and wife Diane of Topeka, Sean Sawyer and wife Barbara of Berryton, Michael Sawyer and wife Leah of Topeka, and Patrick Sawyer of Ingleside, Illinois; two step-children, Dennis Sawyer of Jacksonville Beach, Florida and Marsha Grey of Osage Beach, Missouri; two brothers, Bobby Waggoner of Overland Park, Kansas and Lloyd Waggoner of Dana Point, California; 16 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents and her husbands, Pauline was preceded in death by a son, Paul Gillenwater in 2001 and a daughter, Debra Davis in 2005.

Cremation is planned. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah' Witnesses. 4230 SW Gage Blvd., Topeka, Ks.
