Donald Ringey, 84, of Marshfield, Missouri, formerly of Fontana, Kansas died Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. His family was with him.

Don was born to Ralph Richard and Sarah Esther Worley Ringey on August 19, 1928 in Lyndon, Kansas. He attended grade school in Lyndon and graduated from Osawatomie High School with the Class of 1947. He married Esther Johnson in 1947. His early life was spent as a farmer in eastern Kansas. Later he worked at Cessna Aircraft in Wichita, Kansas. He moved back to the farm and retired. He then moved to Missouri.

Don always enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and working outside in the garden. After retirement he and his wife traveled in their RV and enjoyed many winters in Arizona with family and friends. In 2002 he and his wife took an extended trip to Alaska.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Eleanor, and brother Richard. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Esther; one brother Albert Ringey and wife Carla of Vancouver, WA; children Donna Ringey of Marshfield,MO, Keith Ringey and wife Kim Lemons of Bisbee, AZ; and one very special grandson Sean Ringey of Cincinnati, OH.
