HAROLD LEROY KOLOSIK

Harold Leroy Kolosik, 71, Olathe, died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2000, at the Olathe Medical Center. He was born May 2, 1929, in Hoisington, Kan. He was a 1947 graduate of Osawatomie High School.

He was a motion picture projectionist for Theater Enterprises, Inc. from 1947 to 1951. He then entered the military and served from March 1951 to December 1952. He then managed theaters in Kansas and Missouri. In 1978, he became the grounds keeper at OMC where he remained until his retirement in 1993.

He was married to Shirley Crozier in 1954 and they had two children. They were divorced in the mid-1970s. He then married Joanne Danaher Shanerman in 1982. They made their home in Osawatomie until October of this year and moved to Olathe.

Survivors include his wife Joanne, of the home; his children Kathryn Walker-Brakeville, of Lane, Kan. and Tom W. Kolosik of Lenexa; two stepdaughters, Stephanie Goddard of Olathe and Pamela Smith of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters, June Kolosik and Juanita Gregory both of Osawatomie; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today at the Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home in Osawatomie. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until service time at 10 a.m. There will be a graveside service at the Olathe Memorial Cemetery at 2 p.m. on Saturday. The family suggests memorials to OMC Hospice.
