Georgie I. Wright, 79, Paola, died unexpectedly March 11, 2009, at Olathe Medical Center.

She was born June 6, 1929, to J.F. and Hazel Cortner. She graduated from Osawatomie High School with the Class of 1947.

She was a 62-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her only brother, Floyd, who passed away earlier this year.

Survivors include her two sons, Stephen Wright of Olathe and Terence Wright of Osawatomie; one daughter, Nancy Darling of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She will be missed by family and friends.

Services are 1 p.m. Monday, Mar. 16, at Osawatomie Cemetery. Arrangements are by Penwell-Gabel Paola Chapel, 305 N. Pearl St., Paola, KS 66071, (913) 294-2372.
