Margaret Dorothy Fox, 82, Overland Park, died Aug. 26, 2010, at the Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, Mo.

Margaret was born Aug. 10, 1928, in Osawatomie. She was the only child of Hugh Kenneth and Ida Corrine Anderson Phares.

She grew up in Osawatomie and graduated from Osawatomie High School in 1946. She graduated from Baker University in 1950 where she was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority.

She was an English teacher at Kensington, Kan., and later substituted at the Shawnee Mission schools. She most recently worked at CVS Pharmacy. She had worked for the pharmacy since 1980 and continued working there through several of their name changes.

She married Wagoner Lee Fox on June 11, 1950. They became the parents of two children. Her husband preceded her in death on Oct. 26, 1979.

She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church in Overland Park.

She is survived by her two children, Curtis Fox of Overland Park and Marlea Martinson of Hutchinson; and two grandchildren.

Graveside services were Monday at the Osawatomie Cemetery. A Celebration of Life service was Tuesday at Ashbury United Methodist Church. Arrangements are by Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home, 203 Main St., Osawatomie, KS 66064, (913) 755-2114.
