Rosella P. Tinsley, age 79, of Osawatomie, Kansas, died Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at Life Care Center in Osawatomie.

Rosella was born July 3, 1929 at Paola, Kansas. She was the daughter of Grant and Edna (Koelech) Goudie. She graduated from Osawatomie High School with the Class of 1946.

She was united in marriage to Daniel H. Tinsley on September 28, 1946 at Paola, Kansas. They made their home in the Osawatomie area and became the parents of one son.

Rosella had worked at Osawatomie State Hospital as a nurse's aide for a short time and also had worked at Osage Valley Credit Union.

Rosella loved antiques; she collected primitives specializing in kitchen primitives. She bought and sold antiques from the east to the west coast. She also set prices for Schroeder's Antique Pricing Guide. Her antique collection is published in some antique books.

She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel who died September 12, 2004 and her son Danny Lee Tinsley who died March 15, 1972 in an automobile accident.

She is survived by her granddaughter Tina Ison of Boise, Idaho and three great grandchildren Brittany, Matthew, and Katy Ison.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, June 8, 2009 at the Quaker Cemetery, rural Osawatomie, Kansas. She will lie in state from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home. Memorials are to Wayside Waifs.
