Services for Miss Lillian M. Bussell, 47, of Osawatomie, were held in the Birchard Funeral Home, Saturday, February 7, 1976, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Clayton Pittman officiating. Mrs. Ida Phares provided organ selections.

Pallbearers were Clifford Stephens, Tony Walters, Norman Bastion, Nelson Walden, John Marshall and Frank Bowker. Burial was in the Osawatomie Cemetery.

The daughter of Larkin and Alice Mallory Bussell, she was born July 23, 1928 in Osawatomie. She died February 4, 1976 at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City.

"Ish" as she was known by her friends, grew up in Osawatomie and attended school there, graduating with the class of 1946. She then attended the College of Pittsburg and taught school for a short time.

She began her career at the Osawatomie State Hosptial in 1949 and would have completed 25 years of continuous service this month. She was an occupational therapist.

Miss Bussell was active in the Cub Scout program and the Junior Bowling League. She also served as an officer of the women's Bowling Association for many years. She was a member of the Methodist Church of Osawatomie and the Women's Bowling Association.

Surviving are her parents; one brother, J. C. Bussell, Osawatomie; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Landry of Osawatomie, and Mrs. Wilma Shores of Fort Scott.
