BETTY LOU MOOR CARR

 

 CLASS OF 1945

JULY 10, 1928 - FEBRUARY 18, 2008

Betty Lou Carr, daughter of Earl and Dealia Donnell Moor, was born July 10, 1928, in Sedalia, MO and departed this life February 18, 2008 at her home in Lebanon, MO.

She professed her faith in Jesus Christ in 1940, at Linwood Boulevard Baptist Church in Kansas City, and at the time of her death was a member of First Baptist Church in Lebanon.

Betty was an animal lover. She adored dogs, and even owned and operated a doggie daycare.

She enjoyed spending quiet evenings at home reading, watching movies or completing a challenging crossword puzzle. She was also a wonderful cook and was often approached by friends and family members for advice on recipes. However, she dedicated most of her time to her children and grandchildren and cherished friends; she always put them before herself.

Betty is survived by two sons, Robert Salinas and his wife Nancy of Doddridge, AK, and Clyde Bitney and his wife Diane of Lebanon; three daughters, Donna Coy of Plano, TX, Dee Rose and her husband Vern of Surprise, AZ, and Ann Wheeler and her husband Joe of Lebanon; three brothers, Ben Moor of Lebanon, Don Moor and his wife Margie of Bella Vista, AR, and Gary Moor and his wife Pam of Lebanon; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Linda Montgomery.

Betty was a loving mother, caring grandmother, cherished sister and loyal friend. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
