Juanita Mae Wilson, 78, Hutchinson, Kan., an Osawatomie native, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2004, at Hutchinson Hospital.

She was born Feb. 4, 1926, in Osawatomie, the daughter of Andrew J. and Elsie M. Icenogle Waggoner. She graduated from Osawatomie High School in 1944.

She married Paul E. Wilson Sr. on Aug. 4, 1945, in Manhattan. He died Dec. 5, 1991.

Mrs. Wilson was retired from the circulation department of the Cheyenne Tribune Eagle in Cheyenne, Wyo.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Osawatomie.

Others preceding her in death were a daughter, Ruth Mary Bettis, three brothers, George Waggoner, Arthur Waggoner and Paul Waggoner, an infant brother and a sister, Delores Walton.

Surviving are three sons, Warren A. Wilson of Muscotah, Kan., Paul E. Wilson Jr. of Hutchinson and James R. Wilson of Wichita; two daughters, Paula Lewis of Waco, Texas, and Dolores Rose of Washington, N.C.; three brothers, Lloyd Waggoner of Dana Point, Calif., Raymond Waggoner of Osawatomie and Bobby Dean Waggoner of Arnold, Mo.; two sisters, Maxine Kendal of Carlsbad, Calif., and Pauline Sawyer of Topeka; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

A memorial service held September 1, 2004 at Kaufman Funeral Home in Halstead, Kan. Burial was in Osawatomie Cemetery.
