Kathryn Ann Sexton, 75, Reno, Nev., a native of Osawatomie died unexpectedly Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001 in Washoe Medical Center in Reno.

She was born July 12, 1926, in Osawatomie, the only child of William Arthur and Grace Loree Lane Gibson. She was raised by her grandparents, Peter E. and Alice A. Gibson of Osawatomie. She was a 1944 graduate of Osawatomie High School.

She and Wayne Keith Springer were married July 17, 1946, in Osawatomie. They became the parents of four children. They were later divorced.

Survivors include her present husband of Nevada; her children, Maryann Proctor of Lake Oswego, Ore., William Springer of Fullerton, Calif., Melissa Robards of Spanish Springs, Nev., and Patricia Duval of Irvine, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her former husband, Wayne Springer of California.

A memorial service was held Jan. 5 in Walton's Sierra Chapel in Reno. Burial was in the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Fernley, Nev.
