MAX L. YOUNG

   CLASS OF 1943

JANUARY 4, 1926 - FEBRUARY 2, 2007

Max Leroy Young passed away on Friday, February 2nd due to complications from Parkinson’s disease. He was 81. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jo Ann Young of Tulsa; Brother and Sister-in-Law Harold Young and Evelyn Young of Leawood, KS; Son and Daughter-in-Law Eric Young and Tamra Ortgies-Young of Atlanta, GA; sister-in-law Juanita Young of Yuma, AZ; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends

Max served 3 years in the Army Air Corps during World War II. His career was in the pipeline-petroleum industry, including 14 years with Phillips Petroleum and 28 years at Mid America Pipeline Co. He was a sports fan who enjoyed fishing and Big Band music. Max was a skilled handyman who could fix or repair virtually anything. Above all, he was a true gentleman.

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, February 6th at Moore Funeral Home Southlawn Chapel, 9350 E. 51st Tulsa, OK 74145.

The family wishes to thank the employees of Grace Hospice of Tulsa for their care and concern during Max’s final days. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s foundation.
