RICHARD LEROY WEAVER

CLASS OF 1942

NOVEMBER 24, 1921 - MAY 23, 1995

Bell Gardens, Calif.- - Graveside services for Richard Leroy Weaver, 7312 Jaboneria Road, Bell Cardens, were held May 26 in the Chapel of Pacific Crest Cemetery.

Mr. Weaver, 73, died Tuesday, May 23, 1995 in his home.

He was born Nov. 24, 1921 in Osawatomie, Kan. and was the son of Samuel and Mary McKenna Weaver. He attended school in Osawatomie and graduated from Osawatomie High School in 1942. He served with the U.S. Army Air Force from 1942 until 1946 and then was a member of the U.S. Army Air Fore Reserves until 1950.

He and Rozella Waller were married Sept. 11, 1947 in Leavenworth, Kan. They moved to California in 1950. They were parents of one daughter and three sons.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2830 in California. He was also a member of the Loyal Order of Moose for more than 35 years and received the Pilgrim Degree, which is the highest honor in the order.

Among those preceding him in death were an infant son and three brothers, Everett Weaver, Raymond Weaver and Wayne Weaver.

Survivors include his wife, Rozella, of the home; a daughter, Leanne Weaver, Long Beach; two sons, Richard Weaver, Castaic, and Dennis Weaver, San Bruno; a sister, Helen White, Leavenworth; and two grandchildren.

The Rev. Tom Rothaar officiated, assisted by Pastor Mike Gibson.
