APRIL 20, 1923 - DECEMBER 14, 2005

Margaret A. Lindsay, 82, Chesapeake, Va., formerly of the Beagle community, died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2005, in Chesapeake Health Care Center.

She was born April 20, 1923, the daughter of Frank and Grace Frances Omer Tooley. She graduated in 1942 from Osawatomie High School.

She married Stanley Lindsay and they became the parents of four children. He preceded her in death Oct. 21, 1980.

Mrs. Lindsay left the Beagle community in 2001 and moved to Mobile, Ala., to live with her daughter, Stanlena Forbach. Her daughter died in 2003 and she moved to Chesapeake to be near her daughter, Carol.

Others preceding her in death were a son, John Steven Lindsay, her brother, Glenn Mowry; her sister, Beatrice Pruitt; and a grandson, Gregory Forbach.

Those surviving include her daughter, Carol Harder of Chesapeake; her son, James Lindsay of Long Beach, Miss.; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Services were Dec. 19 in the Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home in Osawatomie. Burial was in Mound Creek Cemetery, southwest of Beagle.

Memorials have been established in her name to the American Cancer Society.
