JOHN HERBERT REINECKER

CLASS OF 1942

FEBRUARY 7, 1923 - AUGUST 2, 1993

John Herbert Reinecker, 70, Harrisonville, MO., a former resident of Osawatomie, died Monday, Aug. 2, 1993, at the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton, Mo., of cancer after a short illness.

Jack, as he was more commonly known, was born Feb. 7, 1923, in Horton, Kan., the son of Joseph Paul and Letha Alice Stone Reinecker.

The family moved to Osawatomie, and he attended school there, graduating from Osawatomie High School with the Class of 1942.

He was married to Dorothy Mae Wools on Nov. 3, 1945, in Paola. They moved to Harrisonville, Mo., in 1964.

Mr. Reinecker was a model maker for Allied-Signal in Kansas City, Mo., the former Bendix Corp., from 1952 until hie retirement in 1988.

His hobby was playing golf.

He was a member of Local 990 of the Tool and Die Makers Union in Kansas City, Mo.

Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers, Bruce Reinecker and Donald Reinecker.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy M. Reinecker of the home; three daughters, Amy L. Kircher of Paola, Susan K. Dyke and Sandra Reinecker, both of Harrisonville; two brothers, William Reinecker of Florida and Robert F. Reinecker of Osawatomie; a sister, Ruth Smith of Prairie Village; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services were at 10:30 a.m. today, Wednesday, at the Orient Cemetery at Harrisonville under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home of Harrisonville. The Rev. Charles Sutton officiated.

Memorials may be given in his name to the American Cancer Society.
