Charles Kyle Edwards, 83, of Independence, Mo., passed away on August 24, 2007.

Mr. Edwards was born on August 9, 1924, in Lane, Kan. He graduated from Osawatomie High School with the class of 1942.

He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He retired from TWA after 32 years of employment. Mr. Edwards was a Scout Master for many years and served as an Elder and Deacon at Westminister Presbyterian Church.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Cole, brother Herman Edwards and a granddaughter Jennifer Edwards.

Among his survivors are his wife of 61 years, Margaret Edwards; son Thomas Kyle Edwards; daughters Marcia Ann Edwards, Susan Elaine Wysocki and Amy Lou Hetzel; seven grandchildren, Wendi Hunt, Kari States, Scott States, Tawni Edwards, Randi Beale, Micheal Hetzel and Amanda Wysocki, also seven great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Services will be Wednesday, August 29, 2007, at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 1400 W. Sheley Road, Independence, Mo. Visitation will be at 10 a.m., followed by funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial in Mt. Washington Forever Cemetery.
