Lorraine Powell, 53, 6801 W. 88th St., Overland Park, died June 21, 1976, at the Shawnee Mission Hospital, Shawnee Mission, following an illness of six weeks.

She was born June 3, 1923 in Osawatomie to Loyd and Ethel Clark Powell. A graduate of Osawaotmie High School in 1941, she moved to Kansas City in 1942. She also lived in Los Angeles, California, returning to Kansas City six years ago where she worked as a secretary for Louis Allis Co.

Miss Powell was a membr of the First United Methodist Church of Osawatomie.

Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Ethel Powell, Osawatomie; one brother, Jack M. Powell, Osawatomie; three sisters, Miss Eileen Powell and Mrs. Margaret Sipes, both of Osawatomie, and Mrs. Mary Maxine Morris, Portland, Ore.

Services were held Thursday in the Eddy Funeral Home with the Rev. Clayton Pittman officiating. Mrs. John Dollar played organ selections.

Pallbearers were Glenn Ricketts, Glen Franklin, Blaine Smith, Edwin Cook, Don Dever and Jim Powell.

Burial was in the Osawatomie cemetery.
