CLAYTON LHUILLIER

CLASS OF 1941

NOVEMBER 30, 1923 - JANUARY 9, 2001

Clayton Lhuillier, 77, Overland Park, a native of Osawatomie, died January 9, 2001 in Woodbine Health Care Center in Kansas City, MO.

Known as "Lou", he was born November 30, 1923 in Osawatomie. He attended Osawatomie High School and graduated with the Class of 1941. He graduated from Fort Scott Junior College in 1943 and from Kansas City University in 1948 with a degree in business administration.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II and served on a minesweeper in the South Pacific.

Mr. Lhuillier was employed by Phillips Petroleum Co. for 25 years and retired from Star Petroleum Co.

He was a proud participant of the Senior Olympic Games from 1992 to 1999.

His memberships included the American Legion and the Village Presbyterian Church.

An infant son, James Clayton Lhuillier, was among those preceding him in death.

Surviving are his wife, Elaine Kington Lhuillier of the home; three daughters, Janet Lhuillier of Lenexa, Cathy Gill of San Diego, CA, and Nancy Natalini of Pittsburg; a son, David Lhuillier of Redding, CA; a brother, Marvin Lhuillier of Osawatomie; a sister, Marjorie Fixley of Oklahoma City, OK; three grandchildren and a great-grandson.

Services were in D.W. Newcomer's Sons Overland Park Chapel with graveside services in Osawatomie Cemetery.

Memorials were to the Student Athletic Program at Johnson County Community College.
