Otis Leroy Martin, 65, Los Angeles, California, formerly of Osawatomie, died Monday July 14, 1986, in the Inglewood, California.

He was born to Hazel and Gertrude Benton Martin, January 3, 1921, in Osawatomie, the oldest of four children. He attended school in Osawatomie.

He joined the United States Air Force, received an Honorable Discharge and settled in California. He later met and married Fozia Wadley.

Mr. Martin was a member of the Bethel A.M.E. Church. He joined the Gospel Choir.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Fozie Martin of the home; his parents Hazel and Gertrude Martin of Osawatomie; two brothers, John Martin of Santa Monica, California, and LaVerne Martin of La Cygne; and a sister, Mrs. Aniie Wilhoite Paola.

Graveside services were at 3p.m. Monday in the Osawatomie Cemetery. The Rev. Rufus L. Kelly officiated. The music by Mrs. Hazel Wilhoite.

The burial was under the direction of the Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home of Osawatomie.
