MARCH 26, 1922 - NOVEMBER 24, 1994

Marjorie Doris Diehm, 72, lifelong resident of Osawtomie, died Thursday, Nov. 24, 1994, at Olathe Medical Center.

She was born March 26, 1922, at Osawatomie the second of five children born to Leonard R. and Laura Theresa Isabelle Krider Davidson. She grew up and attended school at Osawatomie, graduating with the Class of 1940.

She was married on April 13, 1943, to Ralph E. "Wimpy" Diehm at Montgomery, Ala. They made their home in Osawatomie. They became the parents of three children. Mr. Diehm preceded her in death on Jan. 7, 1990.

Mrs. Diehm was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Elks Ladies, all of Osawatomie.

Others preceding her in death were her parents, a brother, Robert Davidson, and a sister, Dorothy Fouts.

The survivors include two sons., Jim Diehm of Overland Park and Kenneth Diehm of Osawatomie; her daughter, Pat Barnett of Paola; two sisters, Peggy Bunyard of West Plains, Mo., and Ruth Giles of Basehor, Kan.; two grandchildren; one step-grandson; one great-grandson; and two step-great-grandchildren.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home in Osawatomie. The Rev. Leslie Murphy officiated. Music was provided by Nancye Snyder, accompanied on the organ by Rosalie Bowker. She sang "In the Garden", "The Old Rugged Cross", and "The Lord's Prayer".

Burial was in the Osawatomie Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Tony Kline, Bob Griffith, Bill Griffith, Jim Minden, Jimmy Minden and Terry Griffith. Honorary bearers were Bill Sinclair and Bud Lhuillier.
