JULY 6, 1922 - OCTOBER 29, 1996

Kansas City, Kan. - - Services for Anita M. Biggerstaff Veatch, Merriam, were held Saturday in the Maple Hill Funeral Home, followed by burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Braymer, Mo.

Mrs. Veatch, 74, died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 1996 in her home.

She was born in Osawatomie, Kansas on July 6, 1922 and was a 1940 graduate of Osawatomie High School .

She had lived in the Kansas City area since 1959 and was employed as a registered nurse at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, Mo. for 45 years. Her retirement came in 1991.

Mrs. Veatch worked as a volunteer for the Cancer Support Team and was named Volunteer of the Year in 1995.

Survivors include two sons, F. Bruce Veatch, Overland Park, and Alan F. Veatch, Lawrence; three daughters, Laura M. Chick, Merriam, Jan R Templeton, Overland Park, and Lisa A. Dishman, New Hampton, Mo.; a sister, Laura M. Simon, Las Vegas; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.

Memorials have been established in her name to Barr Home Health and Hospice, 9290 Bond, Overland Park, Kan. 66214 and Faith Temple Family Worship Center, P. O. Box 6103, Kansas City, Kan. 66106.
