1966 OHS YEARBOOK

~ Administration - Faculty ~

Mr. George York
Superintendent of Schools.

Position Added to
The Administration

The major change in the 1965-66 school year was the addition to the administrative staff. Our former coach, Ernest Swenson, took this position three months before the official school year started

With the filling of this post, Mr. Swenson took on part of the load and responsibility that was formerly placed on Mr. Shaw and Mr. York. Mr. Swenson worked most of the time in the high school under the direction of Mr. Shaw. The problems of attendance and discipline in our school were given to him. This gave Mr. Shaw more time to study the curriculum and recommend the needs that will be forthcoming in the future.

Both Mr. Shaw and Mr. Swenson were responsible to Mr. York, whose busy days include making school policies, and setting up the school budget in co-operation with the board.

All counseling was done through the office of Mr. Church. He also took care of late enrollments.

Rules for accrediting secondary schools
are checked by Mr. Shaw, Principal,
and Mr. Swenson, Administrative Assistant.
Mr. Church bringing the students'
files up to date.

Staff Assisted In School Efficiency

The Custodial and Office help is one of the
necessities in a school plant. Without their
support the little tasks that are so vital to the
efficiency of teaching would soon result in a crisis.

Charles Smith, David Shaffer, and Charlie Kuder, Custodians of our school, have just finished adjusting the drawer slides in the biology room.

Angela Davis, Secretary to Mr. Shaw and Mr. Swenson, answers the phone in the office.
Writing checks is one of the many tasks
performed by Jo Ann Hays,
Secretary to Mr. York.
