~ TRJOANS WENT ROMAN ~
On a snowy December evening, present and former Latin students trudged to the West School to feast on a delicious three-course meal. A staff of eight organized and well informed slaves brought on the meal, consisting of deviled eggs, spaghetti with meat sauce, and apple crisp, which was heartily downed. It had been prepared by the mothers of some of the Roman Trojans. Following the meal was the election by applause of the best-dressed romans. The three skits presented, "Daphne and Apollo", "Ceres and Proserpina", and "The Trial of the Latin language", proved to be very dramatic. The grand banquet concluded with everyone singing the Latin version of some well-known songs. |
