Gridironers Established A Record Seacon

The Trojans rolled up a very impressive record of 7 wins and 2 losses under the direction of a new head coach, Bill Freeman. This was the best record in many years. The season started off in the win column by downing the Gardner Trailblazers by a score of 19 to 6. A setback was delivered to the Hogan Rams when they came to Trojan territory. Osawatomie had hopes of a victorious season until they were pounded by the Immaculata Raiders.

Trying to shed the stigma of defeat, the team left for Raymore-Peculiar where they trounced the Indians 33 to 13. Returning home, our conquering heros put down the Osage Indians in honor of the homecoming queen. The Trojans hit the road to play Bonner Springs, where they battled the Braves in a great defensive game to pound the opponents 31 to 6. The next two games were won hands down beating DeSoto and Burlington by scores of 34 to 0 and 39 to 6 respectively.

The Trojans went into the next game against Paola with high hopes of regaining the Tom-Tom, which was lost the year before. But, their minds were changed when the Panthers won 7 to 6.
