Trojans Took Second in Regionals

The Trojans had the distinction of having the record of 13 wins and 7 loses. Osawatomie started this record by downing Burlington 58 to 53, but they received a crushing blow from Osage City, 82 to 40. Gardner edged the Trojans 54 to 52, making it two consecutive losses. By beating Louisburg 57 to 33, the Trojans achieved their second win on the home court.

During the regular season the Paola Christmas Tournament was held, and the Trojans added another second-place trophy to their collection.

For the second time this year, Osage City stomped the Trojans on their home court, 74 to 41. The home team experienced defeat at the hands of the DeSoto Wildcats. A winning streak started for the Trojans when they downed the Paola Panthers 67 to 58, and when they beat Bonner Springs 50 to 42. This streak continued when they crashed over DeSoto by a score of 66 to 37 and when they slipped by Immaculata by the narrow margin of 76 to 70. St. Joseph beat theTrojans 57 to 52, halting the winning drive of the Trojans. Victory returned as the mighty Trojans smashed their foes, Princeton, Paola, and Immaculata.

The Trojans commenced the Regional Tournament held at DeSoto by defeating Paola. The following evening, Osawatomie upset Gardner, entitling the Trojans to play for the championship. All hopes of going to "State" were dispelled when St. Joseph Bluestreaks edged the home tean 61 to 60.

Freshmen Took Second
in Tournament

The Freshmen had a poor start by losing the first four games straight. These losses didn't affect the "little" Trojans' will to win. They made a terrific come back and won eight out of the last eleven games.

The Freshmen team took second place in the Bonner Sp;rings Freshman Tournament.
