The candidates for Mr. and Miss Trojan entered the auditorium as they were announced by Mr. Reb after "The Fanfare for a Ceremonial Occasion." Mr. Reb delivered to the student body a short address on "The Responsibility of Winners and Losers." He announced Dean Spears and Rita Breedlove as winners from the Junior Class having raised $295.88. The attendants were Seniors: Jon Baumstimler and DianeDavis, $224.50; Sophomores: Dennis Reinecker and Alberta Byers, $222.18; Freshmen: Ronnie Barden and Kathy Davis, $119.56. The crown bearers Tommy MacPherson and Barbara Eichorn presented the crowns to Mr. Reb who in turn crowned Mr. and Miss Trojan. Nancy Craig, editor of the 1964 Trojan, presented Dean with a tie tack and Rita with a dozen red roses. The contest began October 18 and was concluded October 30. The success of this contest can be contributed to the cooperation and hard work of each class. |
