The School Board is the policy making body which guides the progress of our school system. The members are (left to right) W. R. Craig, Howard Barnes, Roy Carpenter, K. R. Johnson (President), Ambrose Wolken and Tom Ludwig.

The efforts of our efficient administrators - Mr. York, Superintendent, and Mr. Shaw, Principal - maintain a highly-rated educational system.

Mr. Shaw's secretary, Betty Lhuillier, and Mr. York's secretary, JoAnn Young, are actively engaged in keeping track of the O.H.S. students, but always have their office duties complete.

RAYMOND RENOE

"Listen to the fine intonation of this orchestration!" exclaims Mr. Raymond Renoe, band director, as he exhibits his record collection.

ALICE CLERICO

Home economics instructor, Mrs. Alice clerico, warns, "Having a 'green thumb' means work but the reward is worth the effort."

CAROLYN MATTINGLY

"This figurine is one of my prized antiques," explains Miss Carolyn Mattingly, who teaches typing, shorthand, and secretarial practice. Other articles in Miss Mattingly's collection include glasses and china, some of which are quite old.

WAYNE JAMES

"I find a game of chess as intriguing as a scientific experiment," reveals Mr. Wayne James, teacher of chemistry, general science, and algebra.

GARLAND LONGHOFER

"Tennis will put bounce in your step and roses on your cheeks!" counsels Mr. Garland Longhofer, guidance director and teacher of general math.

J. HENRY REB

"The backswing is as important as the downswing," explains Mr. J. Henry Reb as he prepares to drive down the fairway. Mr. Reb teaches classes in biology and physics.

ARLINE DENNIS

"Here's one that's guaranteed to turn a scowl into a howl," chuckles Miss Arline Dennis, physical education instructor, as she looks over her card collection of funny sayings.

ERNEST SWENSON

"I wish I could 'drive home' the necessity for Trojans to keep training rules as easily as I can drive nail," asserts Mr. Ernest Swenson, assistant coach and study hall supervisor.

ELEANOR VOSSLER

"Don't you agree that the technique of playing the right black and white keys at the right time is what makes piano playing a fascinating hobby?" queries Miss Eleanor Vossler, teacher of English.

WILLIAM FINK

American history and government teacher, Mr. William Fink, states, "If you wish to be in pictures, get on the right side of this camera."

LYLE McVAY

Vocal Music director, Mr. Lyle McVay, who is also driver eduction teacher, suggest, "If you enjoy inspecting gun collections, take a look at these shotguns."

DONALD MARTIN

"If you wish to keep on your toes, you don't have to be a ballet dancer - just be a tennis player," advises Mr. Don Martin, who is freshman coach as well as bookeeping and business law teacher.

NOEL GANOUNG

Industrial arts teacher, Mr. Noel Ganoung, cautions, "Remember that the business end of a loaded shotgun always means business."

HORTENSE BARR

"this kwan-yin is my favorite," says Mrs. Hortense Barr, who teaches algebra, Spanish, and Latin; she also is librarian for O.H.S. Another authentic chinese curio is the josh urn on the table. The books in the background feature stories about China and other countries of the Orient, where Mrs. Barr and her family lived for over five years.

CHARLES HECKART

"Ah, this is the life!" sighs Mr. Charles Heckart as he settles down in his comfortable chair with his favorite magazine. In addition to serving as freshman coash, Mr. Heckart supervises study hall and teaches world history.

MAC STEELE

"This piece should fit here," mujses Mr. Mac Steele, coach and mathematics instructor, as he works a puzzle.

MILLARD WREN

"Is anybody readh for a safari?" questions Mr. Millard Wren, English and American government instructor, as he poses with his dog, Melody.

DEANA McCLURE

"If you learn to bowl, you can really 'have yourself a ball'!" exclaims Miss Deana mcClure, whose teaching schedule includes classes in English and Speech.

WALTER L. HAYS

"Keep your eye on the ball," admonishes Mr. Walter L. Hays as he looks up before making a chip shot. Mr. Hays teaches classes in Shop I and II.
