PERFORMANCES

The G.R. Club was sponsored by Mrs. Anna Reyburn and Miss Carolyn Mattingly. It met every Monday during activity period and has a membership of one hundred seventy-two. This club had for its purpose "to find and give the best".

The Hi-Y Club, with a membership of fifty, endeavored to live up to its motto: to create, maintain, and extend throughout the school and community, high standards of Christian character. Mr. J. Henry Reb sponsored this group.

The Girls Glee Club, sponsored by Miss Mary Jane Zelsman, met three times weekly and had a membership of sixty girls. June Brewer was the accompanist.

Under the direction of Mr. Renoe, the Boys Glee Club, with a membership of twenty, met each Monday and Wednesday during activity period. Elnora McClintock acted as accompanist.

The O.H.S. band, under the direction of Mr. Raymond Renoe, had an enrollment of sixty-five. The band played at football and basketball games, and other special school and civic affairs.

The Pep Club was sponsored by Mr. J. Henry Reb and had a membership of thirty girls. This number did not include the five cheerleaders who were elected by the student body. The members learned and taught the student body many new yells and aided materially in improving the cheering at all football and basketball games.

The Student Council, executive organization of O.H.S., was composed of ten members elected from the several classes. This organization sponsored the sale of activity tickets and an all-school dance.
