David Nelson Huffman, age 25, of Osawatomie, Kansas, died Monday, March 5, 2012.

David was born September 5, 1986 in Paola, Kansas to Douglas Nelson and Lisa Marie (Welsh) Huffman. He was the youngest of four children.

He graduated from the Osawatomie High School in the class of 2005.

David worked for a short time building Sonic Drive In’s. He also worked at Doug’s Body Repair helping his dad.

David loved to play beach volleyball, meditating, reading, gaming, playing pool with his dad in the APA Pool League and spending time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Dianne Roy and paternal grandfather, Larry Huffman.

He is survived by his parents of Osawatomie, Ks; his fiancée, Jesse Prihoda; one brother, Robert Huffman and wife, Hannah of Osawatomie, Ks; two sisters, Cheryl A. McKibbin and husband, Collin of Paola, Ks. and Jennifer Huffman and significant other, Josh Tipton of Osawatomie, Ks.; grandparents, Karl and Donna Behlau of Ottawa, Ks.; Four nephews, Tristan Miramontes of Osawatomie, Ks., Cole Huffman of Osawatomie, Ks., Reece McKibbin of Paola, Ks. and Tatum Tipton of Osawatomie, Ks.; one niece, Jillian McKibbin of Paola, Ks. and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 12pm, Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home. Visitation will be 10-12am, Saturday, prior to Funeral Services. Memorials are to the David Huffman for Suicide Prevention.
