Laura May Robertson, 24, Osawatomie, died Thursday, Dec. 31,2009, in Royal Terrace Nursing Home in Olathe after a short illness.

She was born Jan. 19, 1985, in Gregory, Texas, the daughter of Jack and Sulema Robertson. She was baptized in Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Sinton, Texas. Her godparents were Ralph and Margie Gomez.

She received her first communion and was confirmed in St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Osawatomie.

She attended Osawatomie schools from kindergarten through high School, graduating in 2003 from Osawatomie High School. She participated in baseball, basketball and played saxophone as a member of the jazz and marching bands.

She had worked in Sonic Drive-In locations in Osawatomie, Paola, Edwardsville and Bonner Springs. She enjoyed music, concerts and taking her daughters on family outings.

Survivors include her three daughters, Audreana Nicole Robertson, Jourdyn Rene Nickel and Lauren Cheree Robertson; her parents of Osawatomie; two sisters, Jeanne Ainsworth of Spring Hill and Sue Gahr of Osawatomie; and three brothers, Jack Robertson of White City, Kan., Paul Robertson of Bonner Springs and Jason Robertson of Emporia.

Services were Monday in St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Pallbearers were Jack Robertson, Jr., Jason Robertson, David Gahr, Paul Robertson, Ronnie Ainsworth and Bob Kratzberg. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery in Paola.
