Dustin Eugene Eaks, age 28, of Osawatomie, Kansas died Monday May 16, 2011 from injuries from a motorcycle accident.

Dustin was born May 11, 1983 in Pueblo, Colorado. He is the oldest of 4 boys born to Kent Eugene and Jill Elaine (Wrinkle) Eaks. The family moved to Osawatomie when Dustin was four years old.

He attended the Osawatomie Schools and graduated in the class of 2001. He then attended Longview Community College getting his Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

He worked two years for Ford Motor Company and then for six years for Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railroad.

Dustin was married October 15, 2006 to Faith Ann Godfrey in the Green Valley Baptist Church, west of Osawatomie. They are the parents of one son, age five. He was a member of the Green Valley Baptist Church.

Dustin is survived by his wife, Faith, and son, Hunter Eugene Eaks of Ottawa; his parents, Kent and Jill Eaks of rural Osawatomie; three brothers Jesse LeRoy Eaks of Fredonia, Ks, Timothy Lyle Eaks and Jason Ray Eaks both of rural Osawatomie; paternal grandparents Norvan and Betty Eaks of Pueblo, Colorado; maternal grandparent Joe and Lou Wrinkle of Pueblo, Colorado.

The funeral will be held 10am Saturday, May 21, 2011 at the Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home in Osawatomie, Kansas, with burial in the Osawatomie Cemetery. In state after 1 pm Friday May 20th with visitation from 6pm-8pm at the funeral home. Memorials are to the Hunter Eugene Eaks Scholarship Fund.
