Services for Andrew Ray Workman, Kansas City, Mo. were held last Wednesday in Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home.

Mr. Workman, 20, died Saturday, Dec. 5, 1992, in a traffic accident north of Paola on U.S. Highway 169. He was en route to a National Guard meeting in Garnett.

He was employed by Allied Security and United Parcel Service Terminal in Lenexa.

The son of Craig and Kayleen Platz Flanders, he was born June 12, 1972, in Hudson, Wis. He lived with his family in Forest Park ILL., until moving with his mother and brother to Osawatomie in August 1978.

He was adopted by John Edward Workman in 1983.

He attended Osawatomie schools and was a 1990 graduate of Osawatomie High School.

He enjoyed acting and participated in school plays. He was selected actor of the year in 1990. He also placed first several times in Forensics at the state level. He also attended Kansas City Kan. Community College and was an actor at the Renaissance Festival for the past two years.

Survivors include his parents John E. and Kayleen Workan of the home; a brother Craig Workman Osawatomie; two half brothers, Jeff Workman and Jim Workman, Independence, Mo.; a half-sister, Jan Embree Independence, Mo.; his grandparents, Agnes Workman, Paola, Ralph and Pearl Platz, Osawatomie and Dorthy Orwig, Marshall Michigan and his fiancee Tiffiany Atkins Shawnee Ks.

Dr. Alan B. Smith officiated. Ruth Smith played organ selections. Two taped selections were played.

Pallbearers were Craig Workman, Jeff Workman, Jim Workman, Rick Embree, Dan Billingsley and Jeff Billingsley.

Burial in Osawatomie. A memorial has been established in his name to the Osawatomie High School Scholarship Fund for theater majors.
