Sherry Ann Troxel age 54, of Osawatomie, Kansas died at her home Thursday, June 4, 2015.

Sherry was born October 24, 1960 in Overbrook, Kansas the sixth child of nine to Louis Glen (Pops) and Ella Louise (Roles) Jordan.

She grew up in Chanute, Kansas and came to Osawatomie in 1975 with her mother when her parents divorced. She then attended Osawatomie High School and graduated with the class of 1978.

Sherry married Mike Troxel in Paola, Kansas. They made their home in Osawatomie and became the parents of three sons: Danny, Bryan, and Kevin, the marriage later ended in divorce.

She worked at the Osawatomie State Hospital for many years as a Mental Health Tech until she had to stop working due to her health.

She was a devoted grandmother to her grandchildren Josie and Miles, she and Josie were very close. She was a loving mother who would do anything for her boys, and her family. Sherry was a wonderful Aunt to her nieces and nephews, a great sister and friend. Sherry loved to drink her “Pepsi” and occasionally go to the casinos. She was a person who did not ask for much for herself and was always thinking of others.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Pat Jordan.

Survivors include her sons: Danny Troxel of San Diego, CA, Bryan Troxel of Osawatomie, KS, and Kevin Troxel of Ottawa, KS, five brothers: Duane Jordan of Spring Hill,KS, Galen Jordan of Miami, OK, Jeff Jordan of Miami, OK, Randy Jordan of Osawatomie, KS and Mike Jordan of Chanute, KS . Two sisters: Jennifer Reaves of Chanute, KS and Linda Flinner of Leavenworth, KS. And two grandchildren Josie Troxel and Miles Troxel.
