PHILLIP EUGENE PFIFER

Phillip Eugene Phifer, 57, Liberty, KS, passed away Sunday November 28, 2015 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.

He was born April 15, 1958, at Paola to Gaylen and Nancy whited Phifer.

Phillip grew up and attended school is Osawatomie, graduating from Osawatomie High School with the Class of 1976.

Phillip worked for Union Pacific Railroad as a bridge mechanic for many years.

He was a member of the American Legion, Sons of American Legion and ABATE. In his spare time, he enjoyed model railroading, motocross, and NASCAR races, riding his Harley and working on his old truck.

On Aug. 17, 2007, he married Connie Fisher. Phillip and Connie were together for 17 years prior to their marriage.

Survivors include his wife, Connie, of the home; one daughter, Desirae Blythe (Chip) of Uniontown, KS., his father Gaylen Phifer of Coffeyville, KS, and two grandchildren, Megan Blythe and Mark Blythe, both of Uniontown.

Following Phillip's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a "Celebration of Life" will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 16, at the American Legion, 811 W. 12th St., Coffeyville, KS.
