DAVID "CLARK" POWELL

CLASS OF 1959 

JULY 15, 1941 - NOVEMBER 21, 2002

David "Clark" Powell, 61, of Lee's Summit, MO, died on November 21, 2002, after a yearlong battle with cancer. Clark was born July 15, 1941, in Davenport, IA. Clark graduated from Osawatomie High School in 1959 and was a 1978 graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Engineering. He was a 40-year employee of Honeywell International, Federal Manufacturing and Technology, Kansas City, MO, where he held a variety of staff engineering positions spanning four decades. Clark was an honorary member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say.

He is survived by his wife, Marty Powell, of the home, and four adult children: David T. Powell, Kansas City, Alica A. Powell, Lee's Summit, Major John Vannoy, Fort Leavenworth, and Jeffery D. Vannoy, Lee's Summit. Clark was also the proud "Popple" of Emily, Gavin and Karson Vannoy. Clark will be remembered and loved by those whose lives he touches. Memorials should be made to Boy Scouts of America, Heart of America Chapter, Kansas City.
