CHARLES EDWARD SHELL

NOVEMBER 12, 1940 - JULY 29, 2015

Charles Edward Shell, 74, of St. Paul, Minn., died July 29, 2015, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Minneapolis. He has been in failing health.

He was born Nov. 12, 1940, at Fairbank, Iowa, to Martin A. and Ruth Anne Maricle Shell. He grew up in Osawatomie and graduated from the Osawatomie High School in 1958.

He attended Pittsburg State University where he was actice in the ROTC program and graduated in 1962. After graduation, he served as an officer in the United States Army.

He worked as a salesman for a wholesale manufacturing company for many years. For several years he was a volunteer for the Special Olympics program.

Survivors include his brother, Rogers Shell of Des Moines, Iowa; sisters, Camilla Dobbs of St. Paul, Minn, and Charmaine Knickerbocker of Independence. KS.

Mr. Shell will be cremated and will be buried in Kansas at a later date.
